Bat Stars (Asterina miniata) ~ This interesting sea stars come in a wide variety of solid and mottled colors.  They have webbing between their short triangula arms.  Normally they have five arms but they occasionally have as many as nine arms. Bat stars can be up to eight inches across and they are scavengers which feed on a variety of plants and animals, dead or alive.  Fun Fact!  When two bat stars bump into each other, a gentle brawl begins ~ much like a slow-motion "arm westling" fight. Each one tries to get its arm on top of the other's arm.  Doesn't look like much to the casual observer but perhaps to the bat star it's not fun.
