Tidepool sculpin (Oligocottus maculosus) ~ This little fish has a small elongated body with a relatively large head.  Tidepool sculpins have varying numbers and sizes of bands on their body, singly or in pairs, especially the head region.  They have one forked cheek spine and the color is banded light and dark gray, sometimes with red or green shades. They dine on crabs, shrimp, fish eggs and small shrimp.
