California Frog Shell (Bursa
californica) ~ The female lays
her eggs inside a 1/2 clam shell. The animal uses its
proboscis as
a tool to pull out spines from a sea urchin. It then inserts
its
proboscis into the mouth of the sea urchin and eats out
the tissue.
